Happy Monday Friends! Last week, I started a brand new series covering my favorite make up and beauty items in a weekly series called Monday Make up Round Up. Last week, I covered all of my favorite Foundations here.
- Tarte: Shape Tape Concealer: $29
- Maybelline FitMe Concealer (Ulta): or Target: $5.99
- Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer: $4.99-5.99
- Revlon Photo Ready Candid Antioxidant Concealer: $6.99
- KoKie Be Bright Illuminating Concealer: $21 Amazon – Sold Out at Wal-Mart. Came in my Ipsy Bag($10.00 month)
This week, I will be discussing my top 2 favorite Concealers and sharing a few others I have recently tried. I have come to love concealer just as much as foundation and finding one that you love is key!
My most recent every day concealer is the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in the color “Light”. This is a bit of a splurge at Ulta at $29 but it has lasted me a while and the coverage is great. Like I mentioned last week in my Foundation Post, I like a full coverage look and this concealer is just that. I also like the applicator brush it comes with – larger than most others and goes on very smooth.
Before I found Tarte Shape Tape, I was using the Maybelline FitMe Concealer in shade 10 or 15 for a while. This is very affordable and pairs nicely with my Maybelline FitMe Foundation. The applicator brush is similar to the Tarte Shape Tape but smaller. I would consider the coverage full as well but not as good as Tarte.
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer and the Revlon Candid Concealers are both affordable options with many color options for different skin tones. I feel like both of these are not as “matte” as the 2 above and are a tad thinner. However, they both work very well. The applicator on the Rimmel concealers is different – it’s a sponge where the concealer squeezes out of the top – (not my favorite) but doesn’t hinder or downgrade the product.
Last, I received the Kokie Be Bright concealer in my recent Ipsy bag and have tried it a few times. It works very well – still thinner than Tarte and Maybelline and the color mixes well with my skin tone!
