Fear of the Unknown

Keep Your mind fresh by trying new things out of your comfort zone. By Exploring eclectic activities, you can sharpen your ability to unite abstract ideas and problem solve.” (unknown source)

I found this quote off Pinterest the other day and I didn’t write down where it came from but it stuck with me.  I’ve always been a believer of trying new things. I love the saying “I’ll try anything once!”  But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found that I’ve become more skeptic and secluded at times. I find myself doing what’s comfortable or easy and staying away from the “Unknown” because it can be scary sometimes. The unknown can mean many things: failure & risk but it can also turn into something amazing and positive.

Recently, I shared a workout video of myself.  This is way outside of my comfort zone but it also made me realizing that sometimes, you just have to hit “send” before you think about it. Trying something new can lead you into situations and places that you’ve never been before. You can learn a new world is out there for you!

Take this approach in other areas of your life and just go for it.

What are 5 things that you can do this week outside of your comfort zone?

  1. Host a game night at our house!
  2. Walk around the Atlanta Beltline
  3. Pay for something for a stranger
  4. Cooking a New Meal
  5. Starting a New Business
  6. Talk about your Feelings
  7. Say “I’m Sorry!”
  8. Introduce yourself to a stranger!
  9. Try a new hairdo!

Have a great day!
