It’s that time of year again! The end of a year and beginning of a new one. It represents a new chapter to set new goals and look back on the what worked and how to readjust. I don’t believe in New Year resolutions but I do believe in taking time to reflect, adjust, and setting new goals. This past week and today as I rest, I am taking the time to make a list of my goals in both business and personal life. Once I have a good list, I will then break them down into smaller attainable goals and then set action items that will help me reach those goals. I’ve learned lately or becoming more aware that I usually set really big goals and then often become overwhelmed. I am that typical person who starts off with a bang and then gives up within a few weeks. This year, I am going to start a new workout that is perfect to start off the New Year.
This year, I am going to join a group that will help hold me accountable in my daily workout as well as in my nutrition. Have you ever heard of Beachbody? I am sure you have heard of Insanity, P90X or 21 Day Fix by now. Since I’ve had a baby, it’s so hard to get out of the house and get to the gym when I have a job and a husband who works 6 days a week. Over the years, I have turned to Beachbody. Since, Beachbody on Demand has come out where I can stream workouts straight from my computer, iPad or mobile device, I have been able to workout from my home in my bedroom. I have tried multiple different workouts depending on what I want to do that day. I can take a 30 min class from 21 day fix, or a 15 min core workout, or a pilates course because they are all available with the Beachbody on Demand subscription.
Also, I have been a fan of Shakeology for years now and drink it for breakfast regularly. I started off drinking the Chocolate Vegan flavor with a Banana and a tablespoon of Peanut Butter. Sometimes I would add Strawberries, Spinach, Blueberries, or whatever extra I had in the fridge. When the Vegan Cafe Latte came out, I immediately tried it and now I use both. My go to recipe for the Cafe Latte, is: cold coffee, almond milk, cafe latte, and a pinch of cinnamon. This is like my own frappuccino at home.
Shakeology is a shake made up of dense nutrition such as:

January 8th starts our prep week. This week will allow our group to get everything set up, order shakeology, equipment, or sign up for Beachbody On Demand if we haven’t already done so. It will allow us to study the nutrition plan provided and go grocery shopping and meal prep if desired. It is mentally preparing us to start the brand new 80 Day Obsession by Autumn Calabrese. This is a brand new workout so we are all experiencing this together and that’s what I love about it. Starting January 15th, we will officially begin 80 Day Obsession and will go for 80 days. We will have an option to work out together via Zoom at 5 am or workout at your own pace! The accountability group I have referred to, gathers online via facebook group or through the a Beachbody app where we post photos, comments, and log our daily workout and shakeology.
I share all of this with you because it’s a part of my life and I hope to share my journey with all of you because it will not be easy and I need your accountability as well. We all have to start somewhere and where ever you are in your journey – embrace it and celebrate it. I want to know where you are this year and what your goals are for 2018..
